Ms. Shaughnessy Classes

Ms.Shaughnessy was born in rural Nebraska and moved to Colorado to study Bilingual Bicultural Elementary Education (Spanish and ESL) at UNC in Greeley. She later got her Masters Degree in Linguistically Diverse Elementary Education at CU Boulder. In high school she lived in Madrid, Spain as a Rotary International Exchange Student and in college she studied abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico. She is passionate about languages and travel! 

Bridget has taught for over twenty years from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Most recently, she taught 5th grade at an international school in Berlin, Germany for almost five years. While in Germany, she and her family traveled all over Europe during every school holiday and truly made the most of their European home. 

Ms. Shaughnessy has two children, her eldest daughter has graduated and is currently living in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her youngest son is in high school. Bridget loves to hike with her husband of nearly 20 years and spend leisurely mornings drinking coffee. She also loves to read and cuddle with her adorable pug Maximus Pugimus.
