Welcome to Mrs. Boatman's Classes

Mrs. Boatman was born in Iowa and moved to Colorado when she was 10 years old. She was pretty much raised in the classroom, as her mom was an elementary art teacher for 33 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. She taught 2nd and 4th grade in a charter school in the St. Vrain Valley School District for seven years, and then moved to a traditional school in Westminster 50 for two years where she taught 5th grade, as well as co-taught in a multi-aged, high needs classroom. She was fortunate enough to take some time off when her third child was born, and then served as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher in the St. Vrain Valley School District to transition back into teaching. Mrs. Boatman has a wide range of experience teaching all types of students, from severe learning disabilities to gifted students. She is extremely excited to be a part of the APEX team! In her spare time, she enjoys muay thai, cheering on the sidelines of the soccer and football fields, and spending time with her family.
